PAN Botanic Garden - Center for the Preservation of Biodiversity in Powsin has become a member of the Climate Change Alliance of Botanic Gardens, based in Australia. It was initiated by Botanic Gardens Conservation International, the International Association of Botanic Gardens and Botanic Gardens Australia and New Zealand.

The association aims to promote climate research and action. In the next 50 years, 20-50% plant landscapes and urban spaces will experience the highest temperatures ever measured. This will require huge efforts to secure and increase collections of endangered and useful plants ex situ. Our Garden has an internationally recognized experience and track record in this field.
