The article appeared in the journal Biological Invasions and is about establishing the taxonomic status of critical species of the complex Eragrostis pilosa (Poaceae), which differ in minor and unstable morphological features (E. albensis, E. amurensis, E. imberbis, E. multicaulis i E. pilosa).
After identifying and analyzing the morphological features and phylogenetic relationships, we showed that the invasive species inhabiting the Oder riverbed shoreline benches are E. albensis, widely distributed in Central Europe.
In the article, we demonstrated the necessity of distinguishing between glandular and non-glandular forms of the Swabian lovage (E. albensis var. scholziana i Eragrostis albensis var. albensis). This second morphotype also grows as a weed on the paths of our Garden in Powsin.
