"Warsaw in flowers" welcomes the new season

The start of the gardening season will take place in S. Zeromski Park in Zoliborz on May 10 from 12:00 to 17:00. At the same time, another 42nd edition of the "Warsaw in Flowers" competition will be launched. It will be a celebration of all lovers of flowers and greenery. PAN Botanical Garden is honored to be one of the exhibitors.

Gardening Picnic "Warsaw in Flowers" will be held this Saturday, There will be plenty of activities, education and inspiration for residents. There will be many creative and floral workshops, learn the secrets of gardening and floristry, get advice from experts and test your knowledge in a floral quiz.

We invite you to visit the stands of the organizers and partners of the competition: Warsaw Greenery Board, Warsaw Friends Society, Żoliborz District Office, National Museum in Warsaw, Botanical Garden of PAN in Powsin, Horticultural Technical School at ZS No. 39 in Warsaw, Perennial Nursery "U Bianki", and Rojewski Roses. This is a great opportunity to get inspired to create your own blooming garden and prepare to participate in the competition.

The "Warsaw in Flowers" will include a "Competition for the most beautiful balconies and gardens." Participation is open to any adult living in Warsaw, as well as cooperatives, institutions, educational institutions, service or catering establishments, among others. The jury will select the most flowered and green balconies, gardens and spaces in Warsaw. Applications are being collected from May 15 to June 30, 2025 in seven categories:

  • Balconies, loggias, windows
  • Neighborhood initiatives
  • Gardens at single-family and multi-family buildings
  • Flower plots in ROD
  • Educational and educational institutions
  • Housing estates
  • Service outlets and public buildings
  • Residents' Choice: Biodiversity Award

This year, for the first time, urban nature will also be awarded in the competition. For the Biodiversity Award, residents can submit their favorite unmanaged green spaces, natural areas, wild corners or meadows. The winning space will be awarded by the public in an online vote from August 1 to 30. All winners will be announced at the final picnic on September 13, 2025 at Pole Mokotowskie.
