The results of a classification study of rock communities of the regal and foothill floors of the central-eastern Pamiro-Alai and south-western Tian-shan mountains were presented by the staff of the PAS Botanical Garden in Powsin in the journal Plant Biosystems (https://doi.org/10.1080/11263504.2021.1922531).

Based on the data collected in 2013-2019, it was possible to describe 17 new communities, 11 of which are completely new to science plant communities. The peculiarity of the environmental conditions, together with the species composition of the described phytocenoses in the foothills and regale floor of eastern Central and Central Asia, means that the studied vegetation is characterized by the greatest endemism among all vegetation types in the study area.
