The Botanical Garden of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Powsin is once again the employer of the President of the Polish Botanical Society.
The community of Polish botanists elected during the 60th anniversary congress of the Prof. Dr. Arkadiusz Nowak, director of the PAN Botanical Garden of the Center for the Preservation of Biodiversity in Powsin, as president of the PTB. He replaced in this position Prof. Dr. Anna Mikuła, also associated since the beginning of her scientific career with our institution, who has managed the work of the Society with dedication and professionalism for the past six years.
It is worth mentioning that in 2004-2010 the President of the PTB was Prof. Dr. Jan Rybczynski. This testifies to the great importance of the Garden for the Society and for the development of botany in Poland.
