Villa Janówek - a place where art meets nature.
We have opened the XXIX International Music Floralia Piano Festival - Music in Flowers. It will be filled this year with piano music interpreted by outstanding Polish and foreign pianists. On Sunday, May 18, the inaugural recital was performed by Bartosz Sklodowski. Amid birds singing in the background and the sounds of nature - he presented us with interpretations of works by Beethoven and Chopin.
The festival has been held since 1996. Every spring, the historic Wojciech Fangor mansion resounds with piano music, attracting a wide range of listeners and pianists from around the world. This year we will hear artists from Poland, Hungary, Kosovo and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, as part of the Young Stage, students of music schools and winners of the 1st National Johann Sebastian Bach Competition will perform.
Depending on the weather, the concerts take place on the terrace or inside the Janówek Villa (Wojciech Fangor's Manor House) in the PAN Botanical Garden in Powsin (entrance from 2 Prawdziwka Street). The project is co-financed by the capital city of Warsaw. Dr. Ewa Slawinska-Dahlig, General Director of the F. Chopin Society, invited to the musical contemplation.
We invite you to the next concerts, which will be held on a weekly basis until June 29, 2025. You can find details at the link: Piano festival - "Musical Floralia" > Botanical Garden in Powsin
