During the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the PAS Botanical Garden in Powsin, the Garden's director, Professor Arkadiusz Nowak, was awarded the prestigious Nicolaus Copernicus Medal.
The medal is awarded to exceptional researchers who have made significant contributions to the development of science. The decoration is awarded by the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Arkadiusz Nowak is an outstanding Polish botanist whose commitment to biodiversity conservation and botanical research has left a lasting mark on the scientific community.

Dr. Pawel Kojs, deputy director of the PAS Botanical Garden in Powsin, also received the decoration on the same day. He was honored with the prestigious Medal of the Polish Academy of Sciences. This award is given to outstanding individuals for their contributions to the development of Polish science.
