On June 6, 2024, the General Meeting of Members of the Association of the Council of Botanical Gardens and Arboreta in Poland was held at the PAN Botanical Garden - Center for the Preservation of Biodiversity in Powsin.
The Assembly was opened by Council President Dr. Grazyna Szymczak, who welcomed the directors and managers of Polish botanical gardens and invited guests. The Assembly passed a number of important resolutions, including the admission of new ordinary and honorary members to the Association. Reports and plans for 2024 were also approved. In addition, representatives of the Council of Botanical Gardens and Arboreta in Poland to the European Consortium of Botanical Gardens were elected. The national representatives for Poland in 2024 were:
- Justyna Wiland-Szymanska (Botanical Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan)
- Damian Matynia (Silesian Botanical Garden, PAN Botanical Garden CZRB in Powsin)

The meeting ended with a fruitful discussion, showing the importance of cooperation, exchange of practices and joint initiatives within the Polish and European network of botanical gardens.
Poland's network of botanical gardens, which includes more than 40 establishments, is part of a European structure, jointly pursuing the goals of biodiversity conservation and environmental education. Botanical gardens are places not only for recreation, but also for learning and inspiration, playing a key role in preserving plant diversity for future generations.
