Research issues:

My scientific interests lie in three areas of research:

1 The impact of the urban environment on trees:

  • differences in phenological development of trees
  • Changes in the chemical composition of tree leaves under the influence of the urban environment, with particular attention to salt stress
  • Determine the role of prenyl lipids in the process of tree acclimation
  • Leaf anatomical changes (selected pectin epitopes and AGP proteins).

2. Biomonitoring of environmental pollution:

  • Determining the degree of environmental pollution.

3. the role of biologically active compounds (essential oils, flavonoids and phenolic acids) in the response to the environmental stresses.
