Dr. Anna Znój, assistant professor at the Botanical Garden of the Polish Academy of Sciences, is currently in the Faroe Islands, where she is conducting a project funded by Føroya Fuglafrøðifelag, a conservation organization. He is working on the impact of seabird colonies (Hydrobates pelagicus) on the vegetation there.

Understanding the mechanisms that shape interspecies relationships will allow better planning of measures to protect both birds and naturally occurring plant species.
The research is being carried out under the supervision of Jens-Kjeld Jensen, author of many books on the fauna and flora of the Faroe Islands.
