At the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences, held on December 2, the awards of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences were presented to six scientists. In this esteemed group was the director of our Garden - Prof. Arkadiusz Nowak - along with co-author Dr. Marcin Nobis, Prof. of the Jagiellonian University, for publishing the monograph "Illustrated flora of Tajikistan and adjacent areas", which is the result of botanical research conducted for 15 years in Central Asia.

The award of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences is given annually for outstanding scientific achievements.
