We invite you to participate in IV Competition for the Heaviest Pumpkin, which will be resolved October 18, 2025 At the PAN Botanical Garden - CZRB in Powsin.
The goal of the competition is:
- Popularization of pumpkin cultivation and its nutritional value;
- Exchange of breeding experience among the participants of the Competition;
- Education on growing and caring for pumpkins;
- Promoting the principles of sustainable development.
Competition pumpkins can be submitted By October 7 until 3 pm (see the regulations for details)! Weighing of pumpkins, announcement of results and presentation of prizes will take place October 18 at 1 pm during the celebrations Pumpkin Day 2025. The jury will choose the heaviest one from among the submitted pumpkins, and its grower will be awarded a prize Director of PAN Botanical Garden - Center for the Preservation of Biodiversity in Powsin at. 4500 zloty Gross.
At the same time, in the category "Main" prizes will be awarded:
- II - 3400 zł gross
- III - 2300 zł gross
- IV - 1600 zł gross
- V - PLN 1100 Gross,
as well as three honorable mentions in the amount of 800 zloty, 600 zł i 300 zł Gross.
In category "Children" In-kind prizes will be awarded for the first three places.
The pumpkins will be weighed by committee and the results made public.
